Millom Stepping Stones Development
Millom Stepping Stones is a small charity run nursery providing care and education within the town of Millom and their surrounding areas and is situated close by to one of Wyldecrest Parks Holiday Parks, Port Haverigg Marina Village.
They have a secure area where they wish to put raised planters, filled with compost and gravel instead of grass, a few small trees and be able to take the children to water the plants, watch them grow and weed them.
They want to build a fence to make the bins secure and the wall is being rendered all the way along. Once rendered they want to paint the wall, possibly with murals and paintings of the children who are at the nursery at the moment, put mirrors up and plant pots to make it look more attractive.
At present they have 26 full and part-time staff and take on apprentices. Children from the local school also do work experience with them. They have 120 children in their care during the week between the hours of 7.00 am and 6.00 pm, Monday to Friday.
Wyldecrest Parks Charitable Trust is excited to announce that we are going to be working closely with Millom Stepping Stones in funding this redevelopment. We aim to provide regular updates on the progress of this project and are committed to not only helping causes close to our hearts and our parks but also enriching the lives of future generations.
